When the weather is important to your public tasks at the federal, regional or communal level, we are your partner.

The RMI makes timely accurate warnings for the authorities in connection with dangerous weather situations. It contributes in this way to decision processes to reduce the impact of these extreme conditions and to improve the safety.

Beside the known weather warnings for the public (rainfall, snow, storms, etc.), the RMI also supports the decision processes of other governments, e.g. for air quality and heatwaves

The disaster fund of the Ministry of the Interior appeals on our expertise to determine whether given weather situations are normal or abnormal.

The RMI can advise officials, even the minister, thanks to a long experience and a huge database of climatological data over Belgium.

The RMI offers required solutions to support the Regions in their hydrological tasks to help them with adequate advice.
The RMI has the required products and services concerning precipitations to respond to short and mid terms.
